Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions described are applicable to contracts organized by Irion Lda. acting as both an agent and supplier for transfers between the designated departure locations and destinations as indicated in the official confirmation provided by Irion Transfers, operating under the business name of Irion Lda.

1. The terms “you” and “your” in these conditions refer to all passengers listed in the written confirmation (including substitutes or additions at a later date). References to “we,” “us,” and “our” denote Irion Lda.

2. Irion Lda. is a registered limited company in Portugal, with its official address at Rua Fernão Magalhães, lote 6, 8200-129 Albufeira. The company registration number is RNAVT 9934, and the tax identification number is 515270563.

3. Reservations can be made online through www.iriontransfers.com (the “Website”), via email, or over the phone. If multiple individuals are part of one booking, the Lead Party making the reservation is considered to act on behalf of all members and agrees to these terms on behalf of themselves and all party members. The Lead Party must be at least 18 years old.

4. The Lead Party must complete the booking process on the Website and confirm by clicking the appropriate button for online bookings.

5. Payment in full is due upon arrival at the resort. After processing the booking, a confirmation email will be sent with details of all persons involved and the scheduled transfers. This confirmation serves as the “voucher” and must be presented to our representative/driver for both outbound and return trips, forming a legally binding contract between the Lead Party, all listed passengers, and us.

6. It is the responsibility of the Lead Party (or any representative of listed passengers) to review the booking details on the voucher before the journey and report any errors promptly. We are not liable for service errors resulting from incorrect information provided during booking.

7. As per EU directive 2003/20/EC, children must use suitable child seats until they are 12 years old or reach a height of 135 cm.

8. All children and infants are considered in the vehicle occupancy count and should be indicated during booking. Child seats are provided at no cost. It is recommended to note the age of young passengers in the special requirements section when booking to ensure appropriate child seat allocation.

9. While we can typically accommodate manual, folding wheelchairs in our vehicles, passengers must inform us during booking to arrange the correct vehicle to meet specific needs.

10. Changes to bookings can be emailed to us or communicated via phone.

11. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure are subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellations made outside of this 48-hour window will be fully refunded.

12. We retain the right to adjust the final price of any online booking if an incorrect resort name has been provided by you, potentially resulting in an increase or decrease in the total price.

13. Each passenger listed on the confirmation can bring up to two items of baggage on the transfers: one suitcase not exceeding 90cm x 50cm x 25cm and one piece of hand luggage. Extra baggage may be declined based on available space unless notified at the time of booking, potentially incurring an additional fee.

14. The drivers or we reserve the right to deny transport to any individual under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behavior poses a threat. No refunds will be issued in such instances.

15. Alcohol consumption is prohibited on our vehicles, and smoking is not allowed. While vehicles are insured as per Portuguese law, passenger baggage is carried at their own risk, and we are not liable for any loss or damage. Costs incurred in returning lost items to passengers are not our responsibility.

16. Please ensure to provide the pickup time for services from hotels/accommodations to the airport accurately. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their flight departure time.

17. The following situations are examples of circumstances beyond our control: Vehicle accidents causing delays; Severe weather conditions; Compliance with police directives; Road accidents or fatalities; Vandalism or terrorism; Unforeseen traffic delays; Strikes by third parties; Issues affecting passenger safety; Road closures due to local events; Inaccessible properties; Acts of nature like floods or earthquakes; Epidemics or pandemics; War or threats of war; Fires, explosions, terrorist attacks, or riots.

18. We will not be considered in violation of these terms and conditions, nor held responsible for any failure or delay in meeting our obligations under these terms and conditions due to the aforementioned circumstances.

19. Our transfers are strictly from the designated pick-up point to the final drop-off point. Any additional stops required, like collecting keys from a separate location, may incur an extra local charge. The agreement and payment for these additional stops are between your party and us.

20. In the rare event that our driver misses your pick-up and communication is not possible, we will reimburse you for any extra expenses incurred for a local taxi. We are not accountable for missed flights resulting from this situation.

21. We, along with our affiliated companies, officers, and employees, disclaim all liability for any type of loss or damage you may suffer, including direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential losses, related to your booking, the transfer services, or your use of the Website.

22. All representations and warranties concerning the transfer services booked through us are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

23. Our liability to passengers, except in cases of death or personal injury, is capped at twice the cost of the booking for the transfer service.

24. Nothing in these terms and conditions limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, nor does it impact any of your statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded or restricted.

25. We retain the right to reject any order placed by you. We commit to assigning a vehicle to every booking request. If we are unable to assign your request to one of our vehicles, we will seek one from our suppliers. As a last option, we will arrange for you to be accommodated in a local taxi.

26. Should you encounter any issues during your trip affecting your transfer, please inform us.

27. Following each transfer provided by us, we send a feedback form via email, where we reserve the right to display your comments and reviews on our website.

28. We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance as a crucial measure. It is strongly advised that you secure appropriate travel insurance covering a wide range of scenarios such as trip cancellations, lost baggage, accidents, and health issues while traveling. Ensuring that the insurance policy you acquire is suitable and adequate for your specific requirements is your responsibility. We suggest carefully reading and carrying the policy details with you during your trip.

29. If we do not receive communication from you within 45 minutes of your flight landing, we will reach out to inquire about the situation. The procedure is as follows:

1) If you do not answer or call back within 60 minutes of your flight landing, you will be marked as a “no-show.”
2) If you provide a reason for the delay, the driver will wait based on availability or you will be scheduled for the next available service. If you decline the next service offered, you will be classified as a “no-show.”

30. In the event of a flight delay exceeding 2 hours past the scheduled arrival time, we do not guarantee the airport transfer. You will be contacted by email and/or phone regarding this delay. For departures booked, they will be canceled unless you make contact with us. A full refund will be issued to you.

31. If any part or provision of these terms and conditions is deemed unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable by a competent court or authority, that specific part will be removed, and the remainder of the terms and conditions will apply as if the problematic section was never agreed upon.

32. You are not permitted to transfer any of your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions without our prior written consent. However, we reserve the right to transfer any of our rights or obligations under these terms and conditions without requiring your written consent.

33. We are dedicated to safeguarding your privacy and security. All personal data we collect from you will be processed in compliance with the regulations set forth by the Portuguese Data Protection Authority available at www.cnpd.pt/english/index_en.htm.

34. These terms and conditions, along with any disputes or claims arising from or related to them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), will be governed by and interpreted in line with Portuguese law. Disputes or claims arising from these terms and conditions (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
